According to the Federal Foreigners Residence Law and its executive regulations for every foreigner whose entry permit or residence permit has been canceled or whose residence has expired at the end of the period of the permit or entry visa or residence permit and has not initiated renewal - in cases where this is permissible - within a period not exceeding 30 days from the date of the end or if he did not leave the country during this period, he will be subjected to a fine of no more than 100 AED for each day that he resides illegally in the country from the date of the expiry of the period. You can apply a request to the Identity & Nationality Authority to reduce the fine amount.
