Hi I rented an apartment few days ago from company in bayut.com it was short term daily the price was 3500 for 15 nights with they said 1500 security deposit when I come time to leave they said we will not give you back security deposit 1500 I want to complain as there is no reason for them to keep my deposit

We would like to inform you that according to the Federal Tenancy Law, the contract is the main reference between contractors. Therefore, if the contract finished then the deposit shall be refunded. If they refuse, then you can review the municipal court and file the case against the real estate developer or agent and claim for it. As the deposit is to guarantee the defects, then the lessor shall refund the deposit to the tenant.
