Foreign patients can also enter the Emirates for treatment on the sponsorship of medical institutions and government and private hospitals. The sponsor (the medical institution) undertakes the procedures for issuing an entry permit for treatment at the request of the patient.

As for the required documents:
-A copy of the patient's passport
-A letter from a licensed hospital stating the reasons for the visit
-Patient health insurance
-Financial insurance
The conditions:
-The sponsor is one of the licensed hospitals in the country;
-The admission permit to the patient's companion can be extended only once provided that a duly certified medical report is provided stating that the patient needs to continue treatment
