 the cause of shortness of breathing could be due heart ,lung,or blood diseases or it could be due non-medical causes .

non medical causes:

• extreme tempreture

heart causes:

• cardiac temponade
• heart attack
• heart arrythmias
• heart failure
• cardiomyopathey
• pericarditis

lung causes :

• asthma
• carbon monoxide poisoning
• chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
• pneumonia
• pneumothorax
• pulmonary embolism
• airway obsruction
• pleural effusion
• interstitial lung disease
• croup
• pleurisy
• pulmonary fibrosis
• pulmonary edeam
• pulmonary hypertension
• sarcoidosis
• TB
• broken rib
• foreign body

blood disease:

• anemia

its based mainly on the medical history and physical examination and the tests doctor ask for to reach the diagnosis such chest x-ray ,ECG,CBC,lung function test ,CT and other investigation
