Causes of continuous vomiting in cats: -
- The presence of a foreign object stuck in the digestive system (hair ball, rubber, plastic ...)
- Inflammation of the intestine as a result of a bacterial or viral infection
- Parasitic infection (intestinal worms)
- Esophageal hypertrophy
- Torsion of the intestine
treatment: -
- An X-ray of the full digestive system must be performed. In the case of a foreign body, it must be excreted by surgery.
- In the case of esophageal enlargement (also diagnosed as X-ray), food should be served to the cat in a tubular form and with a plate at the level of the cat standing
- Inflammation of the intestine is treated by giving the cat Flagyl for 5 days at a dose of 2 mm twice daily and giving it to Motilem at the same dose and number of days
- intistinal torsion (shown as X-ray) is treated with surgery
- In the case of worms infection, the cat should be given a veterinary anti-worm medicine, such as piperazine, schizophrenia, or prazecontal tablets, at the rate of half a tablet for two consecutive days, and the third dose after 14 days - available in veterinary clinics or vermox.
