If that a person dies in an accident and the driver is under the influence of the drug, the penalty is double that of what was stated in the previous answer, that is, the penalty is imprisonment for a period not exceeding six years, and a fine that does not exceed twenty thousand riyals, or one of these two penalties, according to the provisions of the Qatar Penal Code stipulated :
Article 311 of the Qatar Penal Law:
Whoever causes a mistake in the death of a person shall be punished by imprisonment for a period not exceeding three years and by a fine that does not exceed ten thousand riyals, or by either of these two penalties, if that results from his negligence, sponsorship, failure to take possession, or failure to observe the laws or regulations in all cases, the offender shall be punished with imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year if the guardian has pardoned or before the blood money
Article 313
The penalty stipulated in the previous two articles shall be doubled according to the circumstances if the crime occurred as a result of the offender violating the requirements of his profession, job or profession imposed on him or was under the influence of alcohol or anesthetic or if the act resulted in the death or injury of more than three persons or he refrained from assisting the victim, or from seeking assistance to him, while being able to do so
