I'm an expat in Qatar. I'm sponsored by my company and I sponsor my wife and 2 yr old son. I have committed adultery with 2 escorts in August 2019, spoken to women on an line dating site around October 2019, and seen another expat and bought her coffee and flowers January 2020. My wife is aware of this. We have argued as a result. She is emotionally distressed about what I have done. She has physically assaulted me and I have photographic evidence of black eyed, cuts to face, bruising to my body. I do not want to press charges against her for the assaults. The police are aware of what I have done regarding the other woman and have done nothing against me. My employer is aware of the situation aswell. We are looking at divorce. So 3 questions: 1) can she file a case with the police for emotional distress due to what I have done 2) regardless of who instigates divorce under Qatari law, will I be deported by the Qatari Govt following the divorce 3) as I sponsor her residency, after divorce will her ID be immediately revoked So she has to leave the country?
