Kindly be noted that if the residence visa expired on 14/2-2020, then in this case, you have to leave the country within thirty days from the date of the visa expiry, otherwise you will be deemed to  pay a fine of no more than 100 dinars for each day you overstay and in case of not paying the prescribed fine, the offender shall be penalized with imprisonment for a period not exceeding three months or by paying a fine as a penalty, which does not exceed four thousand dirhams and the court may rule a deportation
This is in accordance with the provisions of the Foreigners' Residence Law, which stipulates:
Any foreigner whose residence permit has been canceled or expired and has not initiated a renewal - in cases where it is permissible - within a period not exceeding thirty days from the end date, or has not departed the country within this time limit, then a fine of no more than 100 dirhams shall be imposed on him / her for every day that he / she overstays illegally in the country from the date of the visa expiry.
As of regard to a foreign newborn, the time limit stipulated in this article is four months from the date of birth, and upon its expiry without confirming his / her residence, his / her guardian shall pay the prescribed fine, and the minister or his authorized representative may decide to exempt the offender from all or some of the fine prescribed in this article.
In case of failing to pay the prescribed fine, the offender shall be penalized with a detention for a period not exceeding three months or with a fine not exceeding four thousand dirhams, and the court may command a deportation.

My residence visa has expired and not cancelled. This was JAFZA VISA and we are in process of closing the company hence there is no point renewing the visa. In the mean time I have to travel for a week and friend said they’ll not allow me to fly. But your reply contradicts that and suggests I should actually leave within the 39 day period ???

الرد من العميل

Sorry 30 day period
