We would like to inform that It is prohibited to sell kidneys in Qatar and whoever sells and purchases kidneys shall be punished with imprisonment of up to ten years or a fine of up to one million pounds.
Here is the text of the Qatari Human Organ Transplant Law, which concerns your inquiry:
Article 10
It is prohibited to deal with any member of the human body or any part of it or any of its tissues or cells for the purpose of selling or buying or in exchange for any nature, and it is prohibited to call, advertise, promote or mediate.
In any case, the transfer of a member or any part of it, or one of its tissues or cells, may not result in the donor or any of his heirs obtaining a financial or in-kind benefit from the recipient or his or her family due to or his/her family because of the transport or its suitability.
Article 19
Without prejudice to any more severe penalty provided for in any other law, any person who contravenes any of the provisions of Articles (3), (4), (6), (8), (10), (11), (12), (13) and (14) of this Law.
The penalty shall be imprisonment for a period not exceeding five years and a fine not exceeding (500,000) five hundred thousand riyals or one of these penalties, if the act on tissue or cells.
The penalty provided for in the preceding two paragraphs shall be doubled if the act is committed by coercion or by fraud or outside the licensed health facilities.
