We would like to inform you that if you want to get work visa to Malta, then you have to review the embassy or the application center where you reside and apply for visa and attach the following documents:

 Visa Requirements for Application of D Visa – Malta Only

  1. Completed Visa Application Form
  2. One recent passport sized colour photos with white background in electronic format
  3. Copy of the Valid Travel Document, the period of validity of which should exceed that of the visa by three months.
  4. Confirmed Flight Booking (stamped and signed by travel agent) or copy of actual flight ticket showing full itinerary of your trip.
  5. Confirmed Hotel Reservation
  6. Health Insurance acceptable in the Schengen Area (minimum coverage has to be 30,000 Euros) and which should cover the period of validity of visa.
  7. For Minors (Under the Age of 18): Birth Certification of Minor, Authorization by both Parents / Legal Guardians, Copy of Passport Data page of both Parent / legal guardian, In Case of guardianship, documentary evidence proving the status.

In addition to the above-mentioned documents, please provide the below mentioned documents if you are travelling for:

Working in Malta:

  1. a) Proof of Employment in Malta: Letter from Employer indicating, position of the applicant, his tenure duration, salary, place of residence in Malta.
  2. b) Employment confirmation issued by Citizenship and Expatriate Affairs Department in Malta.
  3. c) Work Permit Letter issued by the Maltese Authorities and should not be more than 60 days from the date of issue. If the letter is more than 60 days they cannot apply and the employer should request another letter from the Maltese Authorities.
