I paid fine for credit card case cheque of 18000. Now bank threatening me for civil case 260000 aed. I took this card in 2003 and till 2016 I was regularly paying. 2017 I lost job then I could not pay. Recently bank filed case for 18000 whereas my credit limit was 33500. I paid fine 2020 to clear this case now bank scaring me for civil case with interest. 260000. Is this legal that bank file case 260000 against 18000 cheque.
