well,there is money problems which can cause hearing problemand complete loss of hearing in which there is 2 types:
- conductive hearing loss which could be treated 
- sensourinol hearing loss in which it is more difficualt to be treated 
so we mention some pathological causes that can cause this :
- otosclerosies 
- mastiodieties 
- osicular bone destruction 
- middle ear obacity 
- vestibular apparetus dilated 
- nerve damage 
- brain damage 
there is money test to do to specify the problem :
- otoscope 
- high resolution ct temporal bone 
- audiometry 
well for treatment it depend upon the causes which may need auditary aid or surgical intervention
