My toes they were first swollen and red now there...

What are the causes of swollen toes with bluish discolouration ?

- vascular disease and it maybe :

• arterial stenosis and ischemic change 
• venous blood disease as deep vein thrombsies 

- autoimmiune disease as raynaud phenomna 
- diabetic food and gangeroneious change 
- gout and elvated uric acid deposition 
- infectious disease 
- low platlet 

How to mangement ?

- try to keep your legs warm 
- baby aspirin once daily 
- clexane 40 mg every 2 days for 10 days 
- warafarin 5 mg once daily 
- catherization or graft for arterial problems and may need use of stent to eep it open 
- if ther is gangerous change it need parital amputation to the area which not have blood supply 
- ceftriaxone injection once daily 
- allopurinol for high uric acid level 
- colchicine to relief pain if exist 
- treat any chronic disease as diabetus and hypertension
- plasma transfusion 

What are the ivestigation ?

- ultrasound with colour doppler 
- ct angiogram for lower limb 
- uric acid level 
- calcium level 
-CBC
- blood sugar level 
- HBA1C level 
- platelet level
