I'm working in a SAOC company as a foreman past...
I'm working in a SAOC company as a foreman past three and half years. Recently i went on annual leave. There I met one accident and I took medical treatment 3 months. I sent mail to my company regarding this incident when i was hospitalized. Last week i returned to muscat, I sbmit the medical certificate and treatment details and re joined my duty. But the company says to deduct my salary around 580 OMR. It is genune. what i have to do.

Subject to the provisions of the Social Insurance Law, an employee whose sickness is proved shall have the right to a sick leave not exceeding in total ten weeks in one year whether such weeks are continuous or separate and the sick leave shall be granted as follows:
First two weeks leave: full pay
Following two weeks leave: paid ¾ of the full salary
Following two weeks leave: paid ½ of the full salary
Following four weeks leave: paid ¼ of the full salary
Following two weeks leave: paid ¾ of the full salary
Following two weeks leave: paid ½ of the full salary
Following four weeks leave: paid ¼ of the full salary
Therefore, the employer deducting the salary without the above criteria is considered contrary to the provisions of the Labor Law, and you can file a complaint with the Labor Office against the employer

Thanks for your reply. In this case I took 13 weeks leave. Is ther any problem.
