First, you have to indicate in the contract clearly on the protection of property and intellectual rights in your presence, as this is according to Article 20 of the Law on the copyright and related rights. Knowing that, your work comes under the intellectual-type, you can also register your work in the Ministry of Industry to maintain a protection for it throughout your life.
Moreover, the Ministry of Economy is specialized in registering intellectual type of work in the UAE, the application of registration is reviewed and submitted on the Ministry's website. 

You can review the statement of covered and protected products stipulated by Federal Law No. 32 of 2006 amended Federal Law No. 7 of 2002 regarding copyright via the Ministry of Economy website.
According to Article 20 of the Law on the protection of copyright and affiliated Rights, the author's financial rights are protected for his / her life time of fifty years starting from the first calendar year following the year of his / her death, with the exception of the authors of applied art works, in which the financial rights expire after twenty-five years beginning from the start of the next calendar year first publish.
