We would like to inform you that in order to find out whether you overstayed or not, you shall check  your residence card to find out whether your stay has expired or not. If your stay expires you can renew your residence within thirty days from the date of its expiration without fines.
if the residence permit is not renewed during this period, a fine of no more than (100) dirhams shall be imposed on him for every day that he resides illegally in the country as of the date of the expiry of the period.

Regard to a foreign newborn, the time limit stipulated in this article is four months from the date of birth, and upon its expiry without confirming his residence, his guardian or guardian shall pay the prescribed fine, and the minister or his authorized representative may decide to exempt from all or some of the fine prescribed in this article.
If the prescribed fine is not paid, the offender shall be punished by detention for a period not exceeding three months or by a fine that does not exceed four thousand dirhams, and the court may order his deportation.

  • Article 21 of Immigration and Residence Law

The Minister or his delegate may decide to waive all or some of the fines prescribed in this Article.
- If the fine is not paid, the violator shall be punished by imprisonment for a period not exceeding three months or by a fine not exceeding four thousand dirhams and the court may order his deportation.
