The business owner is obligated to bear the value of airline tickets if the contract of employment expires legally and the employer has no right to compel the worker to renew the contract of employment and you must review your employment contract to know all your rights af the employer does not pay all the rights of the worker within ten days from the date of the end of the work contract, the worker can file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation against the employer.
Here is the text of the UAE Domestic Workers Law, and we suspend your inquiry:
Article (22):
The employment contract ends in one of the following cases:
- Its term expires, unless it is renewed in accordance with the provisions of this law, its executive regulations, and ministerial decisions issued in this regard.
- The death of the worker, or his disability during the work and its cause, the disability is established and its percentage is determined by a report from a specialized medical committee, and the employer shall bear the costs of returning the body of the deceased worker or the disabled worker to his country.
- The death of the employer, and the contract may continue until the end of its term, with the approval of the Ministry.
- Conviction of a worker for a felony, or a sentence for a freedom-restricting sentence for a felony or misdemeanor
- The parties agree to terminate the contract.
- The worker reaches the age of sixty
The Minister shall determine the cases in which service may be extended beyond this age, exhaustion of sick leave, or lack of health fitness for work, interruption of the worker from work without an acceptable excuse during the contracting year for a period of ten continuous days or fifteen intermittent days, and it has been proven that one of the parties to the contract violated the obligations prescribed by him by law or agreement, and in this case the provisions of Article 23 of this law are applied. The employer must pay all the employee’s financial dues within ten days from the date of the contract’s end.
