We would like to inform you that the fact that the worker who works for a security company must apply to his Ministry of the Interior through his company in order to obtain a license to do this work.
This is so as not to impose a financial fine against the worker and the company.
Also, the law of private security companies in the UAE provides for the following:
1- The basic monthly salary should not be less than (2000) two thousand dirhams for a non-citizen, and the additional salary value does not include additional working hours, housing or transportation value, end of service gratuity, or any other benefits.
2- The daily working hours should not exceed (9) nine hours except with the written consent of the security officer, so that for each additional hour he is calculated twice the value of the regular hour.
3- He works for a period of (6) six days a week only, and he gets one day as a weekly vacation, and it is not permissible under any circumstance to operate the security officer on the day of the leave even if this was done with his written consent.
4- End of service gratuity,
5- Providing a full travel ticket every two years.
6- A one-month paid leave for each year,
7- Adequate housing or a cash exchange for it,
8- Comprehensive health insurance,
9- Transportation from the residence to the workplace and vice versa or a cash exchange thereof.
10- Pay all the expenses necessary for the issuance of visas, residencies and procedures necessary to start work.
We recommend that you wait until the end of the test period specified in the employment contract in order to avoid the employer terminating the work contract during the trial period, which must not exceed six months.
Article 37
A worker may be employed on probation for a period not exceeding six months, during which the employer without notice or severance pay may terminate his services. A worker shall not be placed on probation more than once with the same employer. Where a worker successfully completes the period of probation and continues in employment, the said period shall be calculated as part of his period of service.
