Work residence can be obtained through the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs of the Emirate concerned.
The procedures for obtaining work permits start after obtaining a work permit from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, which entitles the holder to enter the UAE for the purpose of work.
The employer then arranges for the worker to obtain a residence permit within 60 days, including a medical examination, a resident's identity card, a work card, and a residence visa stamp on his passport, which indicates that the worker resides in the UAE by sponsoring the facility where he works.
The residence visa is issued by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs of the Ministry of Interior in the concerned Emirate.
