According to the Omani Labor Law and with regard to working hours, even if the work is nightly, here is the law. The system was set up as follows in its legal articles, Article (68) from the Omani Labor Law to the actual working hours for employing the worker, which the employer must commit to not exceeding, as the legislator has set it to (9) working hours per day as a maximum or 45 working hours per week and the number of working hours in the month of Ramadan is reduced to 6 hours per day, or 30 hours a maximum per week. This is specific to all Muslim workers, and work hours must include a rest period of no less than half an hour and meaning (permeate), meaning that the rest period is between work hours and not within the working hours, and the worker must obtain a rest period after a maximum of 6 working hours. Article (69) mentioned from the Labor Law, some cases are determined by a decision of the Minister of Manpower, in which the employer is entitled to employ the worker for continuous hours without a break in some exceptional cases in which work is imperative to be continuous and due to technical reasons or operating conditions, as some cases are also determined by the minister, in which the worker is granted rest periods calculated from actual working hours, such as hard or exhausting work that cannot be continued in hours without rest periods unlike other work.
The Omani legislator mentioned in Article (70) of the same law some exceptional cases in which the worker may be employed for more than 9 hours per day, according to certain regulations, including:
1- That the worker agrees in writing to work additional working hours, and the number of additional working hours that the worker will work is determined from within the written approval.
2 that the business interest requires that, and if there is no interest for the worker to work additional hours, the employer does not have the right to exceed the original work hours.
3- The original and additional working hours must not exceed (12) hours per day.
4- The worker is granted overtime hours wages with an increase of no less than 25% of the hourly value, which is calculated on the basis of the basic wage of the worker for daytime overtime, and with an increase of not less than 50% for night hours and night hours which is between nine o'clock in the evening and six in the morning
