do you need an MRI scan for migriane ?
when MRI shoud be done fast ?
- sure you need it but if the diagnosis was right then the MRI should be clean but we do it because we want to rule out the other causes such
- an atreovenus brain malformation
- brain lesions
- brain tumors
- brain sweeling
- brain infection or abcesses
- brain cancers
- brain hemorrhage or ischemic cerebrovasular event
- subdurral or subarachnoid hemorrhages
when MRI shoud be done fast ?
- in case of severe first time attack
- in case of present risk factor for hemorrhage such as hypertention or diabetic patients or a patient who has a bleeding tendancy such as people taking anti coagulative drugs such as heparin
- old aged patients
- recent weight loss
- recent history of head trauma
