I am working in a school. My work time is Sunday...

I am working in a school. My work time is Sunday to Thursday from 7:00am to 1:45 pm. Is it allowed for the school to make us stay back for grading papers and keeping meetings on a weekend like Saturday? If we are not attending can they cut our salary?

 It should be noted that after reviewing your inquiry and legal scrutiny we would like to inform you that the Qatari Labor Law stipulates the following:

Article 73 

The maximum ordinary working hours shall be forty four hours per week at the rate of eight hours per day with the exception of the month of Ramadan when the maximum working hours shall be thirty six hours per month at the rate of six hours per day. 

Article 74 

 The workers may be required to work additional hours to the working hours specified in the preceding article provided that the actual working hours per day shall not exceed ten hours unless the work is necessary for the prevention of gross loss or dangerous accident or for the repair or alleviation of the consequences of the said loss or accident.

Article (75)

The worker shall be allowed of a weekly paid rest which shall not be less than twenty-four consecutive hours and Friday shall be the weekly rest day for all workers.

Article (76)

The provisions of Articles 73, 74 & 75 of this law shall not apply to the persons occupying responsible positions if these positions confer upon the occupiers thereof powers exercisable by the employer over the workers

If you are employed in violation of the Labor Law, you must file a complaint in the Labor Office against the employer,
and you may file a collective complaint if there are similar cases like you among your co-workers, provided that the complaint is signed by all affected workers
