What are the causes of thalassemia ?
its a genetic blood disorder which mainly effects blood cells and produce ill-shaped and mal-functioned cells 
What is the treatment of thalassemia ?
there is no cure for thalassemia , but there is medication to control the disease such as :
1. folic acid ( without iron )
2. there is medication to lower the disease activity which is : Colchicine
3. in case of severe anemia , blood transfusion may be needed 
4. for iron overload , doctor will give iron chelating medication such as : Deferoxamine
What is the needed tests to diagnose thalassemia ?
