We would like to inform you that according to the provisions of the law a waiver shall be before the judiciary and you shall go to the court and submit a waiver application before the competent court. As long as the case has not reached the court yet you have to wait for it to be considered by the judiciary or submit an urgent application to the judge.

Article (20) of the Code of Criminal Procedure stipulates the reasons and facts that the criminal lawsuit expires, and the case is considered closed and the Public Prosecution may not move it in any case when the reason or fact of the law stipulates that the criminal lawsuit shall expire, as in these cases:

the Death of the accused.

 Issuance of a final judgment.

Submitting a waiver of the case by the party who has the right thereof.

General Pardon.

 Repeal the law which punishes the same act.

With exception of crimes punishable by the Divine ordinance, chastisement law, blood money and crimes punishable by death penalty or life sentence, the criminal case shall lapse after twenty years.

 The misdemeanor cases shall lapse after five years, the violations shall lapse after one year.

The duration of the criminal proceedings shall not be suspended for any reason whatsoever.
