We would like to inform you that according to the UAE Expat Law, if you have travel ban, yes you can extend the visa, but that requires the sponsor approval. Note that you shall extend before the visa expiring. If the visa is expired then you can’t extend it.
So the travel ban is not the problem but you have to get the sponsor approval.
