Please doctor I had acids reflux for all most a year I always go to the hospital but the doctor will tell me I'm okay. But I don't feel comfortable so please what is the best medicine for acids reflux thanks.

Treatmen of acid reflux:
It depends on the cause, and till the right diagnosis you can relief this pain by:
- Conservative management by avoid stress, get enough water daily, avoid salts, avoid smoking, rising your head during sleep, avoid sleeping immediately after eating
- Take omeprazole 20 mg twice daily
- If there is H.pylori infection, you can take augmentin 500 mg three times daily and flagyl 500 mg three times daily
- You may need surgical intervention as in hiatus hernia
Causes of stress reflux:
It may be due to:- Stress and anxiety
- Hiatus hernia
- GERD
- H. pylori infection
- Smoking
- Gastritis
- Drinking too much caffiene...etc
Diagnosis of acid reflux:
You have to visist your doctor for clinical examination and investigations as:- H.pylori
- Upper endoscope
