We would like to inform you that according to the UAE Labor Law, in regard to the food, the law doesn’t force the employer for that unless the contract states otherwise. However, the law clarified the rest hours for having food. So you have to review the work contract and find out whether it states that the employer shall provide food for the worker or not. If it is states in the contract then the employer is forced to provide it.

Thank you so much for the answer.However when we have labour inspection to the office or to the labour camp they are asking us that if the company providing food for workers or labours, so is it different from Inspection department (Employer should provide free food so that they can approve for new quota)? Also our contract with the worker doesn't state food allowance or free food but our contract with the recruitment agency which we hire workers through them states free food, could that be an issue or violating the agreement that we're not providing as stated in the agency contract with us.Thanks a lot

It is related with the contract between the employer and the worker. If the contract for the agreement with the recruitment and appointment provides for the provision of food to the worker, then the responsibility lies with the sponsor/employer with the contracting party and may oblige him to provide food for workers, so in the case of inspection can be reported not to provide food and food by the employer to bear any liability for breach of contract with the employer, as we mentioned above.
