I m giving her metronidazole . anti allergy for her cold n flu also kids cough n cold syrup.. but shr is still not improving .

Treatmen of diarrhea in children:
It depends on the cause, so treatment may include:
- Conservative management by drinking enough water daily, avoid sweets
- Using oral rehydration solution to avoid dehydration
- Antibiotic for bacterial infection as azithromycin syrup 3 cc once daily...etc
Causes of diarrhea in children:
It may be due to:
- Viral infection
- Bacterial infection
- Allergy
- Parasitic infection...etc
Diagnosis of the cause of diarrhea in children:
You have to visist your doctor for clinical examination and investigations as:
- CBC to detect bacterial infection
- Stool analysis
- Stool culture
What i advise you?
Do not worry, usually diarrhea takes several days to improve and you have to give here oral rehydration solution to avoid dehydration.
