Treatment of lips infection:
It depends on the cause, and till the right diagnosis you can use the following treatment:
- Nystatin oral gel 3-4 times daily
- Flagyl 500 mg three times daily
- Augmentin 500 mg three times daily
Causes of lips infection:
It may be caused by:
- Bacterial infection which associated with pain, redness, swelling
- Fungal infection which associated with white spots ans itching
- Allergy
- Viral infection...etc
Diagnosis of the cause of lips infection:
You have to visit a dermatologist for clinical examination and investigations as:
- CBC to detect infection
