Hello doctor , I have a chest pain and heaviness...
Hello doctor , I have a chest pain and heaviness on my chest I went to the hospital yesterday all my vital signs are normal , and they did chest x ray, ECG and blood test ( cardiac ) was normal as well , they give me Valium, actually my mom was diagnosed with malignant lymphoma so I don’t know it might be anxiety or panic attacks or stres what to do the pain still there , I used to take anderal before because I have tachycardia but The doctor told me take it when you need it so I didn’t need it until yesterday but I took it ,it’s the same there was no change

What is the treatment of chest pain?
- conservative management By rest and cold compressor and analgesia in case of muscle spasm
- conservative management with avoiding spicy food and eating small meals and avoid eating not less than three hours prior sleeping with antacid , and elevate your head when sleep in case of gastric juice reflux into you esophagus
- anti coagulant therapy with aspirin primarely then heparin and thrombolytics with vasodilatores as nitroglycerin and other supportive medications as morphine and enalapril and beta blockers and O2 support
- catheterization and stenting
- Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery or(open heart Surgery)
- it could be associated with lymphatic ca in that case you might need chemotherapy along with radiotherapy and possible surgery for removal
What are the cause of chest pain?
- Muscle spasm
- oesophageal reflux
- Acute Coronary syndrome as Angina Or MI and Unstable angina
- Valvular heart disease
- intra thoracic cancer
What are the associated symptoms with chest pain?
- Pain is becomeworst with movemint or coughing or breathing(indicate muscular pain)
- Pain induced by bending forward (due to Reflux disease)
- Pain and shortness of breath on exertion and relieved by rest
- Pain induced By emotional stress
- swelling in lower limbs And and Abdomen
- weight loss and night sweat with generalized fatigue especially with lymphoma
what are the investigation to diagnose the cause?
- clinical examination
- ECG
- Chest X ray
- Echo cardiography
- cardiac enzyme
- Ph monitor and manometry for reflux disease problem
