My previous employer filed a runaway case or absconding from work... I spoke with them to pull it out and they agreed. As of now I don't have a visa. So once the case is lifted. I plan to exit Bahrain and go back to my home country( I'm an expat). Do I have to have a visa in order for me to exit as what my embassy said or can I just pay the overstaying and exit Bahrain?

We would like to inform you that according to the Bahraini Labor & Residence Law, if you have ban due to the absconding case from the sponsor, then you can’t leave the country unless after the cancellation of the absconding report. That requires contacting the employer and settle the situation and pay the visa expenses as compensation to the employer, if you did so then you can leave Bahrain.
In brief, you have to remove the ban and the absconding report and pay compensation to the employer and pay the overstay fines that estimated by the Immigration and Residence Department.
