Good Morning!Today is the last day of validity of my kuwait extension 14 visa, (initially I'm on 18 visa). The transfer papers from my new employer will only be made available next week, hence tomorrow and the succeeding days I don't have a valid permit here in kuwait. Question:1) Can I still be allowed to process my residency transfer into 18 visa even if my 14 visa already expired?2) How many days is the allowable window time to correct my status after it got lapsed?Any advice please on my problem, thank you sir.

According to Article (14) of the Executive Regulations of the Law of Residence of Foreigners, a temporary residence permit may be granted to a foreigner for a period not exceeding three months, after that he has to leave the country if he didn’t renew it before a week of expiry.
According to Article 18, there is no decision to transfer the temporary residence to work residence.

follow up question, will I be charged of absconding if I'll be absent from work for my current employer during these days for me to facilitate my impending visa transfer to a new employer?

If you left the work before the work visa expiry and transfer the residence to a new employer, then you may be accused of absconding and that will lead to big legal problem.
