The Council of Ministers' Resolution No. 25 of 2011, relating to late fines and non-renewal of identity card, imposed administrative delay penalties on those who failed to register in the Population Register and Identity System, of 20 dirhams for each day of delay, up to a maximum of 1000 dirhams.
The decree determined the fees for services provided by the Emirates Identity Authority, which are three cases to which administrative fines apply: delays in registration or issuance of identity card for all categories and ages, delays in renewing the identity card for all categories and ages after 30 days of expiry of the card, and delay in reporting any change or modification in the individual data or civil realities of all categories and ages after 30 days from the date of the change. The required data types shall be determined and reported by a decision issued by the Director General of the Authority.
