The working hours may be changed from morning to evening, as long as the mentioned working hours are not exceeded daily, which is eight hours a day. The Kuwaiti Labor Law stipulates that:
Article 64
Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 21 of this Law, the worker may not be employed more than forty eight hours per week or eight hours a day except in the cases provided for in this Law. The working hours of the holy month of Ramadan shall be thirty-six hours per week.
Hours of work may be reduced in burdensome, harmful or harsh jobs by a decision of the Minister.
Article 65
A worker shall not be employed for more than five consecutive hours a day without being followed by a period of break of not less than one hour and the rest periods shall not be counted within working hours.
Except for the banking, financial and investment sectors, the working hours shall be eight consecutive hours.
(B) The Minister may employ the workers without a period of rest for technical, emergency or office reasons, provided that the total number of daily working hours in accordance with Article 64 of this Law shall be less than one hour.
