Concerning Portugal Visa Application Process from UAE

The Embassy of Portugal in the UAE announced that VFS GCC LLC has been chosen as the service provider for managing the visa application submissions in the UAE. Visa applications must be submitted at the Portugal Visa Application Centers in Abu Dhabi or Dubai

Step 1

Please ensure you read the security regulation notices before you visit the Visa Application Centre

Step 2

Before applying, please ensure you are clear on your ‘purpose of visit’. Do remember our staff will be available to assist and help you through the entire visa application process. However, the staff is not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Please go to the link Visa Types for information on the various visa categories

Step 3

Complete your Visa Application Form or download it here and affix your photograph. Each individual applying for the Visa should have a separate application for completed

Step 4

Attach all supporting documents, as per checklist. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Each application form should have a separate checklist completed along with its own set of documents

Step 5

Schedule an appointment - mandatory

You are required to book an appointment to visit the Visa Application Centre in Abu Dhabi/ Dubai to submit your visa application. Please click here for more information on scheduling appointments

Organize payment of the visa fees in cash or card AED

Step 7

Submit your application at the VFS Global center in Abu Dhabi or Dubai

How long does it take

You can apply for a Portugal Schengen visa 3 months before your planned trip. Depending on the nationality of the applicant, the processing time may take at least 15 days from the day of application. In some cases when required documents are missing from the application this process may take longer
