I intend to file for a divorce back in our home country, Bangladesh. As per our verbal conversation, he had asked me to inform him of my travel dates 15 days prior to my departure which I will do so. However, if he imposes a travel ban I will be left with no choice. Please be informed that I will not be travelling with our 3 children as it is mutually agreed between us that he shall remain the custodian and retain guardianship of them. Moreover, we do not have any joint bank account or legally binding contracts in our name. Please advice as I intend to depart from UAE on November 2019

If you are an expatriate in UAE and want to complete the divorce proceedings in your country in agreement with the spouse, divorce can be made at your embassy without the need to leave the country and to avoid any ban may be imposed on you because of the travel ban for you or children
You can also attorney for anyone in your home, who is responsible for the divorce proceedings on your behalf and within the power of attorney granted to you to avoid leave and ban

My children are aged 6 years, 5 years and 3 months infant. He says he will make arrangements to keep them with him. If the divorce not occurred yet, then the husband can’t prevent you to take the children with you, as their responsibilities on both of you unless there is divorce then the custody is with you by the law. Then you can file a complaint against him in the Immigration and Residence Department. But we advise you not leave without the children as if the husband cancelled the visa then that means the sponsorship cancellation for you and the children, so you have to leave with the children.
