Hi I got a question about VDR

I got a PhD approval at UPM. Then I applied for a VDR and got approval. The problem is that I applied for a VDR using my passport which was valid when I applied for a VDR , and then these days I renew my passport here is my problem my old passport that I used to apply for VDR is canceled and now I have new passport with new number different of the passport number of VDR approval. My question are: Q1) Will my VDR approval cancel as the passport that I used during apply for VDR is canceled!? Q2) Do I have to re-apply to a new VDR approval using my new passport number? But I did the payment for VDR when using my old passport that time my old passport was valid for 15 months! Will I miss my money that I payed? Q3) What I have to do ? Will the nearest Malaysian embassy stamp me the single entry visa on my new passport? Your response would be highly appreciatedRegards

We would like to inform you that if you apply for a visa, which means the visa issued by the Malaysian representation office on the old passport with the issuance of a new passport with a different number from the old passport, yes, you can go to the Malaysian Embassy for the purpose of transferring the visa from the old passport on the new passport.
There is no problem in this matter and you can only check the embassy for transferring purposes
