We would like to inform you that if your inquiry relates to someone impersonating your name and your photos, a complaint shall be filed at the cybercrime police. After arresting that person, the crimes he or she is committing in your name will appear, possibly he/she was earning money or committing other crimes related to violating public morality.

Here is the text of the cybercrime law and related to your inquiry:

Article 4:

 The following shall be punishable by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 years and a fine not exceeding 10,000 dinars and not less than 3 thousand dinars:

1. Committed illegal access to a website or information system directly or through the information network or by any means of information technology in order to obtain confidential data or information by law.

The penalty shall be imprisonment for a period not exceeding 5 years and a fine not exceeding 20,000 KWD and not less than 3,000 KWD, or either penalty if committed during or due to the performance of the job.

If such entry entails the cancellation, destruction, publication or amendment of such data or information, the penalty shall be imprisonment for a period not exceeding 10 years and a fine not exceeding 20,000 KWD and not less than 5,000 KWD or one of these two penalties. And information relating to the accounts of customers of banking establishments.

2. Falsifying or destroying a document, record, electronic signature, electronic data processing system, automated electronic system, website, computer system or electronic system by means of synthesis, alteration, modification or any other method, using any means of information technology.

If the forgery occurred on an official document or bank or government data or electronic banking, the penalty shall be imprisonment for a period not exceeding 7 years and a fine not exceeding 30,000 KWD  and not less than 5,000 KWD or one of these two penalties.

Anyone who uses any of the above, knowing of forgery or having lost his legal force, shall be punished with the same penalty as the case may be.

3 - Change or deliberately damage an electronic document related to medical examinations, medical diagnosis, medical treatment or medical care or easy for others to do or enable it, using the information network or using a means of information technology.

Anyone who uses it with the knowledge of it shall be punished with the same penalty.

4- Whoever uses the information network or one of the means of information technology to threaten or blackmail a natural or legal person to induce him to do a thing or refrain him from doing it.

If the threat is a felony or a violation of the dignity of the person or a disgrace for honor, consideration or reputation, the penalty is the imprisonment for a period not exceeding five years and a fine not less than five thousand dinars and not exceeding twenty thousand dinars or one of these penalties.

5. Whoever uses means of web network or means of information technology means to seize for himself or another person money, benefit, document or signature on a document, using a fraudulent method or by taking a false name or impersonating an incorrect character where that would deceive the victim.
