Dear Customer,

Thanks for joining and trusting us, much appreciated!

We would like to inform you that herpes is not a disease cause deportation for expats.

The diseases that cause deportation for expats are according to the Ministerial Decision No. (5) of 2016, issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on amending some provisions of the Cabinet Resolution No. (7) of 2008, expatriates will be subject to State for work or residence, for the following medical examinations:

First: AIDS testing: This includes the necessary tests to detect the disease for all categories of expatriates to stay, when granting residency, for the first time or when renewed, and does not grant or renew residence for positive cases and is considered inappropriate for health.

Second: viral hepatitis screening: Type B tests for the following categories:

* Newcomers to the state, to work for the first time.

* Renewal of residence for the categories of nannies, domestic servants and the like, nursery supervisors and kindergartens. Tests of type B and C of this disease for the following categories:

* Workers in barbershops, beauty salons and health clubs.

* Health workers. The decision stipulates that residence shall not be granted or renewed for the positive cases of the said categories, unless the purpose of the residence application is changed within a period not exceeding two weeks from the date of notification of the result of the examination or the sponsor. The vaccine shall be given to all negative cases of new arrivals, from the above categories, in (3) doses, and they shall be issued a certificate proving this. Take the vaccine.

Third: Pregnancy screening Domestic workers such as maids, nannies, drivers and the like are subjected to a pregnancy test before issuing a disease-free certificate. If the pregnancy is established, the sponsor shall have the option of permitting her to work with him or her, after acknowledging in writing the result of the examination.

Fourth: Leprosy Screening: New arrivals are subjected to examination and renewal of residence. Residency is not granted or renewed for positive cases of all groups.

Fifth: Syphilis screening: Syphilis screening is limited to the same cases of viral hepatitis, for newcomers to the country or upon renewal of residence, provided that necessary treatment is given to positive cases before being granted a health fitness certificate.

Sixth: Tuberculosis screening:

* All new arrivals to the State are subject to examination. Cases with an old or active pulmonary tuberculosis are found to be inappropriate and do not grant residence.

* Tuberculosis examination includes «all residents» when renewing their residence. If an old or active pulmonary tuberculosis is established, the person is considered to be fit for health, to be followed up by the Preventive Medicine Department or its equivalent in government health authorities.

* A person shall be granted a certificate of fitness for residence mentioning the words «subject to treatment». Accordingly, a one-year residence permit is granted, with the case being monitored during the year. In the event that the patient does not adhere to treatment under direct supervision, or does not adhere to three consecutive visits, the person shall be deemed unhealthy and the concerned authorities shall be notified and the residence will not be renewed.

* In cases of tuberculosis with bacteria resistant to treatment, it is treated until the patient is cured within the state. Thus, he is considered a healthy and renewed residence and is excluded from the conditions of health fitness for old and active tuberculosis for the first time.
