We would like to inform you that if your inquiry relates to working under a fixed-term employment contract and you want to resign and your contract has two months remaining, here are the following information:
According to the UAE Labor Law, if a worker, who has a fixed term employment contract, terminates the employment contract before the end of his term, he will be subject to the following penalties:
- End of service benefits will be denied.
- The worker shall bear the expenses of the airline tickets upon his return to his country.
- The employer may request a ban against the worker for one year.
We recommend that you wait until the end of the employment contract so that you can get all your rights without deduction.
Here is the text of the UAE Labor Law regarding your inquiry:
Article 139

 A worker shall forfeit entitlement to his entire severance pay in any of the following two cases:

1. If he is dismissed from service for any of the reasons specified in Article 120 hereof or if he abandons his employment in order to avoid being dismissed in accordance with that Article.
2. If he abandons his employment of his own accord, otherwise than in either of the two cases specified in Article 121 hereof, without notice (in the case of indefinite term contracts) or before completing five years of continuous service (in case of definite term contracts).
