We would like to inform you that your question The company can get a general or temporary import license through the Ministries Complex Ministry of Commerce and Industry / Ground Floor Block 1 / Department of Commercial Registration (Import Section) Tel: 22483108 - 22483155 - 22483149
To obtain a general import license, the following documents shall be submitted:
Fill in a general import application signed by the license holder or his agent (power of attorney).
2- Copy of valid trade license (new / first time).
3- Certificate of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the current year.
4- A copy of the signature approval.
5 - Authorization letter to receive the transaction signed by the license holder or his agent + copy of the civil ID of the recipient.
6. Joint stock companies and limited liability companies in which the share capital of Kuwait is not less than 51% of the total capital.
Solidarity and recommendation companies established between Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaiti partners shall be allowed to carry on the import business from abroad for a period of two years starting from the time of the enforcement of the law, unless the company is licensed under any other law.
Issuance of temporary import license
1- For companies and companies that do not have a general import license.
2- Bill of lading or export declaration (copy).
Commercial license (copy).
4. Adoption of the signature (copy).
5- A letter from the company or institution requesting temporary license.
6- A copy of the power of attorney or authorization letter + copy of the civil ID of the authorized person.
