We would like to inform you that If your inquiry relates to the employer's failure to pay salaries and you inform the Labor Court, the following information:
The employer shall pay the salary of the worker and not delay it. If the employer refuses to pay the salaries due to the worker, the worker can to file a complaint with the Ministry of Labor against the employer. If the problem is not resolved amicably, the complaint will be transferred to the Labor Court, which will issue a judicial ruling obliging the employer to pay the wage of the worker, in addition to issuing another judgment against the worker with his imprisonment and the obligation to pay a fine or at least one of the two penalties.
Article (66):
Wages and other amounts due to the worker shall be paid in Qatari currency.
Wages of hired workers shall be paid annually or monthly at least once a month and all other workers shall be paid at least once every two weeks and The employer shall transfer the remuneration to the account of the worker in one of the financial institutions in the State, allowing him to be paid within the prescribed date in accordance with the provisions of the preceding two paragraphs and he employer shall not be discharged from the wage of the worker except by doing so and the Minister shall issue a decision to protect the wages of workers.
Article (145 bis)
Whoever violates any of the provisions of Article (66) of this Law shall be punished by imprisonment for a period not exceeding one month and a fine of not less than two thousand riyals and not exceeding six thousand riyals.
