We would like to inform you that In case your query relates to the company refraining from paying overtime for overtime, in addition to refraining from paying the salary stipulated in the contract, you are not given clothing and tools for work you can file a complaint against your employer, which is filed with the Qatari Ministry of Labor, as the labor law requires your employer to pay your salary on time In addition to the payment of additional wages if the worker to work for additional hours and that the failure to pay salaries makes the employer subject to the punishment of imprisonment and a fine or at least one of the two penalties.
Here is the text of the Qatari Labor Law concerning your inquiry:
Article (66)
Wages and other amounts due to the worker shall be paid in Qatari currency.
Wages of hired workers shall be paid annually or monthly at least once a month and all other workers shall be paid at least once every two weeks and The employer shall transfer the remuneration to the account of the worker in one of the financial institutions in the State, allowing him to be paid within the prescribed date in accordance with the provisions of the preceding two paragraphs and he employer shall not be discharged from the wage of the worker except by doing so and the Minister shall issue a decision to protect the wages of workers.
Article (74)
The workers may be required to work additional hours to the working hours specified in the preceding article provided that the actual working hours per day shall not exceed ten hours unless the work is necessary for the prevention of gross loss or dangerous accident or for the repair or alleviation of the consequences of the said loss or accident.
The employer shall pay to the worker for the additional working hours the rate of not less than the basic wage plus not less than 25% thereof.
The workers who work between 9 pm and 3 am shall be paid the basic wage plus not less than 50% thereof with the exception of the shift workers.
Article (145 bis)
Whoever violates any of the provisions of Article (66) of this Law shall be punished by imprisonment for a period not exceeding one month and a fine of not less than two thousand riyals and not exceeding six thousand riyals.
