If a girl is tortured by her family, she can go to a police station and file a complaint about the torture she is subjected to, taking into consideration to request to be transferred to the nearest government hospital to sign a medical examination to indicate the injuries suffered by this torture. The police will summon the person who tortured the daughter and force him to sign a pledge not to assault the daughter again or refer him to court. The daughter cannot seek the same independence from her family unless she is at least 18 years old under civil law.

Article 49
1. Any person who has attained the age of adultery shall be fully competent to perform legal acts, unless he has served as a continuation of guardianship or custody over his property or withholding it.
2. The age of adultery is 18 years.
