.Sore throat +high Temperature(>39) without cough+tender neck lymphnodes = most likely Bacterial pharyngitis
Treatment
Augmentin 1gm every 12 hours for 1 week if you are above 25 years old if below then the course is extended to 10 days
Paracetamol 1 gm every 8 hours for 2 days
if you are allergic to penicillin then instead of Augmentin you can use Azithromycin 500 mg once daily for 3 days
Drink warm drinks in addition to fresh juices like orange and lemon

if there is no cough
enlarged tender neck glands
temperature> 38.5
pus on tonsils
If 2 or more from the above criteria existed you can start taking antibiotics as prescribed above
