We would like to inform you that if the neighbor verbally abusing you and using obscene words in addition to accusing you of false accusations.

If you have proof of the validity of your complaint such as witness testimony on the actions of the neighbor, then you can consult a police station in order to open a complaint against the neighbor and accuse him of trespassing and false reporting. Also, you must prove the evidence of your complaint, such as witness testimony or other evidence.

Then the complaint will be transferred to the prosecutor and then to the court, if the judge believe the accusation of the neighbor then he will issue a legal judgment against him by imprisonment and fine or one of the penalties

UAE Labor Law states the below:

Article 373 :

A penalty of imprisonment for a period of no more than one year or a fine not exceeding 10000 AED, those who defame or insult another person in one of the public ways, in a way that shames his/her honor or his/her dignity without including a certain incident.

If a slander or insult is committed against a public official or servant in the course of or because of his work, the penalty shall be imprisonment or a fine not exceeding 20000 AED, or both.

If the insult is committed by way of publication in a newspaper or publication, it shall be considered an aggravating factor of the crime.

Article 374:

Shall be sentenced to detention for a maximum period of six months or to a fine not exceeding 5000 AED in case the libel or insult takes place through the telephone or facing the victim in the presence of others.

The penalty shall be a fine not exceeding 5000 AED if the libel or insult takes place facing the victim without the presence of a third party or in a letter dispatched to him by any means whatsoever.

Shall be considered an aggravating circumstance if the libel or insult, in the stances stated in the paragraphs herein above, is addressed to a public servant or a person in charge of a public service, during or because of discharging his duties or performing his service, or if affecting his honor or the reputation of the families, or if expected to reach an illicit objective.
