We would like you to know that according to the UAE Residence Law and for the purpose of sponsoring the wife to her husband and children, the criteria must be met as follows: Married women can obtain a residence visa for their husband and children in the UAE, provided that they have a residence visa stating that they have a certain professional position as an engineer, doctor, or school teacher. Her salary is not less than the minimum requirement stipulated in the General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners Affairs concerned.
For Dubai, if a married woman does not have any of the previous trades, she can also get approval provided that her salary exceeds 10,000 dirhams, and special approval from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
A single mother who cares for her child alone can sponsor her family in the UAE provided that the documents required by the General Directorate of Residency are met.
