Dear Customer,
Thanks for joining and trusting us, much appreciated! We welcome you to join us in the legal section.
We would like to inform you that referring to the residence law in UAE and with regard to sponsorship of children and wife, there is a requirement to be met to you as follows, resident, whether an employee or employer / investor and holds a valid residence permit, may guarantee the immediate family members, including the spouse, male children under the age of 18 and unmarried daughters. The employee is required to meet certain conditions, notably a minimum salary of 4000 dirhams per month or a salary of AED 3,000 plus housing.
In addition, the profession of the sponsor must be a profession that allows him to secure, for example some categories of employment, as well as assisted domestic workers are not allowed to guarantee their families (you have to review the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs on any exceptions or facilities).
Similarly, if the father is resident within the state and meets the conditions for ensuring the children, the mother is not allowed to guarantee her children.
As a result, the sponsors receive a residence without work, and are stamped with an "unlicensed work permit".
The resident who wishes to transfer the sponsorship of his family and children from the status of temporary entry visa to the residence visa to terminate the procedures change the status within a maximum of two months from the entry of the wife and children to the UAE.
The resident can provide a residence visa for his wife and children, depending on the length of the residence visa he or she has. It may be for one or two years for employees, depending on their contracts with employers or for three years for employers and investors.
The term "equivalent period" excludes children of male residents above the age of 18 attending a higher education institution in the UAE or resident parent. In both cases, the resident or employer can provide a residence visa for one year, renewable, if all other conditions are met
