We would like to inform you that in the event that your daughter holds the Egyptian nationality and is married to an Egyptian holder of British nationality, first with respect to marriage and the place of contract, if the marriage is civil and she has a marriage document, it is enough to review the Egyptian consulate and filing a divorce lawsuit before the consulate or the Egyptian embassy with attaching the marriage certificate and residence in Britain. If the marriage is Islamic, it is confirmed by the marriage certificate obtained and therefore marriage contract document is sufficient and she shall go to the family court and file a lawsuit to prove the marriage for the purposes of completing the divorce proceedings later.

You can go to the Egyptian Embassy and ask for a divorce and your daughter can send the marriage contract to any of her relatives in Egypt with power of attorney for any member of the family to review the competent authorities at the Ministry of Justice to prove and document the marriage through the agent. Also, Law No. 103 of 1976 amending some provisions of Law No. 68 of 1947 on authentication has specified a number of conditions and papers required of those wishing to marry Egyptians with foreigners, which may only be documented by their fulfillment.
The law clarifies that marriage of Egyptians with foreigners may not be documented if it becomes apparent to the notary that there is no capacity, consent, qualities or authorities of the contractors or lack of conditions or if the editor required to be documented is null and void where the law requires the notary to refuse the documentation and notify the concerned rejection by a letter recommended to explain the reasons for refusal.
