what is augmentin ?

its a drug from the family of antibiotics that are drved from the penicillin type and its generic name is amoxicillin combined with claveulanic acid

what are the indications of usage of this drug ?

the dug is used in cases of bacterial upper resperatory tract infection and for other infections such as skin or urine infection
its mainly used in tonsillitis, otitis media , pharyngitis and skin dirty cut wounds

what are the side effects of the drug ?

what are the contraindecations ?

this drug shouldnt be used during asthma exacerbation
dont use if you are allergic to its component
the drug is safe during the whole course of pregnancy
the drug may enter breast milk so use it only under doctor supervision if you are a nursing mother
